Mars Drinks team effort to support local charities

Posted at 16:11 in News Room : Mars Team news

Mars Drinks has been delighted to be able to offer support to many local charities through the Mars Volunteer Programme (MVP)

The programme has seen a number of the teams here at Mars Drinks go offsite to get involved with some very worthy local initiatives. They couldn’t wait to share what they’ve been up to with you, so here’s just a snap shot of the latest news:

Marketing Team takes action to support The Shaw Trust
In a refreshing change from their daily working environments, our Marketing team recently spent a day working hard on The Shaw Trust’s allotment to improve the site for clients, volunteers and the general public. This fruitful activity was arranged by Claire Barrett in our Marketing team. She explains:

“Supporting this charity was so worthwhile. We got to meet the people involved, including those that run the enterprise and those who benefit from it.”

Research & Development (R&D) Drinks Team takes team building to The National Animal Welfare Trust Rescue Centre
The R&D Team at Mars Drinks visited Trindledown Farm in Berkshire to help paint the fences enclosing the site. The team took pleasure in spending some time at the farm and after much hard work painting, they even conducted their team meeting there! All the Mars Drinks associates involved had a great day and were thrilled to have the opportunity to help out at such a worthy charity.

Customer Account Management (CAM) Team spend a day in the garden at Jack's Place
Our CAM team jumped at the chance to work together and get their hands dirty in the garden at Jack’s Place. The team volunteering their time in this way was incredibly beneficial to the charity as it meant that they didn’t have to spend much needed funds on hiring an external gardening company to come in and do the work. As well as feeling like they really made a difference, the CAM’s came back to work feeling much closer as a team.
