Your cuppa a day keeps the waste away

Did you know…some people think plastic cups are bad for the environment.
However, recyclable plastic cups are in some ways better than reusable china cups, due to the energy required to wash them after every use.
• Mars Drinks was a founder member of the ‘Save a Cup’ not for profit organisation, helping to collect old polystyrene cups and enabling our customers to reduce the volume of waste sent to landfill sites.
• Each year, millions of cups of hot drinks are consumed out of disposable cups from vending machines. In response, we developed the ‘N-Viro’ cup – an ecofriendly hot drinks vending cup made in the UK for use in our FLAVIA drinks vending machines. The N-Viro cups are collected by the Save a Cup scheme and sent to industrial composting facilities where they are broken down into compost.
